Objectives:
- Assess the most up-to-date knowledge on upper limb development and differences.
- Evaluate the state of the art in the assessment and treatment of congenital malformations of the upper limb.
- Describe the cutting-edge research in congenital hand surgery.

Course Format: This course consists of an online syllabus, an online pre-test, an online video, an online post-test, and an online evaluation. 

Participation Requirements: To qualify for CME credit, participants must complete each part of this course. 

Estimated Time: The estimated time to complete this course is 4 hours. 

CME Credit Hours: The ASSH designates this activity for a maximum of 3.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Of the 3.50 credits, 0.50 have been identified as applicable to Patient Safety. 


Date of Original Release: This course was initially presented and recorded on April 17, 2021. 

Termination Date: The course is available for CME credit through 11:59 PM Central Time, December 31, 2025. 

Course Summary: This 4-hour virtual symposium will review state-of-the-art treatment for hand/wrist fractures and congenital anomalies from an outstanding panel of experts.  The discussion will begin with a review of the principles of care for both birth differences and fractures and proceed to a discussion of advanced, controversial topics.  The final hour will include podium presentations submitted for the World Congenital Symposium (rescheduled for 2023) with speakers from across the globe sharing their research.
